It’s a village where every home is blessed with equal sunshine!

Yes you read it right ! It’s Rajahatta, a zero waste village, not only it turned into a zero waste village, it is also maintained to be a zero waste village!

It’s my 1st week in TIEEDI, Darjeeling, I had no plans to go on a trek until I heard about Rajahatta, where the starting point of the trek is just 5mins away from TIEEDI.

I had the best company and it is an entrance to the darker shade of green in the nature’s pallet, is what I thought until I saw the second entrance!

Sound of water falling from the hill, it grew stronger approaching a crossing bridge, giving the maximum view from where it can show herself to the viewers, merging to the ground meeting the beings!

Processing the peace being generated from the soothing sounds of falls, reached the second entrance where there is life purging out of the pathway stones, it looks like the upgraded version of  any cinematic entrance for nature.

Going into the arms of nature where even dead cells are revived and my body was feeling alive than ever!

Imagine the beings already inside, can hear all the excited birds singing and feeling the love of nature!

Hiking into the wild until I hear my heartbeat and started sweating even at 12 degrees, judging myself considering my fitness levels.

I just looked up and saw him judging me hard and waiting for me to catch up his pace.

and it happened till I reached the top, poor guy waited patiently!

Connecting with the nature and that urge to sense everything around, every sense of touch feels alive!

and my patience died when I saw the girls hugging the tree and cannot wait to feel it!

My mind was thinking a sarcastic response to the people who said,

“The grass is always greener on the other side”

They were right though!

and it’s the moment of fulfilment, being content and feeling enough!

But not enough in hugging more trees!

The hugging in series went on till I reached the sound of waterfalls again!

The sounds of water falls and hugging tree is the combination which my soul danced for!

Remember the start line? It’s a village where every home is blessed with equal sunshine!

Do you see the sunlight ?

The ground with houses received majority of sunlight first than the surroundings! How amazing it is!

Yes it is Rajahatta – A Zero Waste Village!

In Darjeeling, India.

Hope you enjoyed the virtual travel!

Happy reading!
